DC used metallic paint for these statues. The metallic paint looks good on some statues but not all of them, which might account for this line's brief lifespan.

In November 2018, DC re-released the 2013 Jim Lee statue as part of a three-pack with Jim Lee's Batman: B&W New 52 and Wonder Woman: Art of War statues. This version of Superman does not have metallic paint.
