The videogames were very popular, and so were these statues due to the character designs. Indeed, various companies are still releasing Arkham-derived statues. Why did DC end the line so quickly, then? My only guess is that DC didn't want to keep making statues when the main series ended in 2015. This line is the only way to get statues of Nightwing, Red Hood, Riddler, and Mr. Freeze in 1/8-scale to pair with the DC Icons and Cover Girls Wave 3 lines.
