Although I don't play videogames, I read the comics based on the Injustice series.  The storytelling was very good, and I liked the character designs very much.  I wish a movie or TV show (live-action or animated) would use the costumes.

Diamond's Injustice 2 Batman PVC statue was released several months ago, but I waited to get it because I was hoping that the company would announce other statues based on Injustice.  This is the first male statue in the line that I actually like.  Nightwing's head is too big for the body, and he's undersized compared to other 1/8-scale statues.

Anyway, this past week, GameStop had a 25% off statues sale, so I finally got Batman.  There's also an Injustice 2 Harley Quinn, though I don't like the way that the mallet is attached to the body (you can see a connecting peg, which doesn't insert fully into the hip).

The statue comes in one piece, no assembly required.  The cape is made of a very stiff plastic.  I measured Batman from the top of his head to his butt, his thigh, and his lower leg.  In total, Batman is about 9-inches tall, or 6-feet tall "in real life".

This statue should be placed on a high shelf or even the top of a cabinet so that you can see Batman's face as he looks down upon you.

The statue has a lot of detail, which is surprising given the low price point.  These Gallery PVC statues were $45 for several years and were given a $5 price hike this year.  That makes them the best value on the statue market for any scale.  Here's a picture showing Batman next to the GameStop / ThinkGeek Exclusive Jim Lee Catwoman statue, which I reviewed earlier this month.  They both have an MSRP of $50, but one is 1/8-scale while the other is 1/9-scale.

The Batwoman statue from this line is not based on her appearance in Injustice 2, but her pose is a mirrored version of Batman's pose.  They look nice side-by-side, them being cousins and all.

I do want to make a note of Diamond's inconsistent scaling, though.  As mentioned earlier, Nightwing is undersized for 1/8-scale, and some of the smaller female statues are also undersized.  There are times when Diamond goes too big and makes 1/7-scale statues.

Both Batgirl of Burnside and Jester Suit Harley Quinn are either undersized or smaller than 1/8-scale.

Emma Frost (yes, I know, a Marvel character) is 1/7-scale.

The Batman Who Laughs is so big that he could be displayed with 1/6-scale statues!
