I hadn't planned on getting this statue since there are two other, better, Gal Gadot statues from the same manufacturer. However, Diamond Select Toys currently does not have a license to make any more products based on DC Comics characters, so I decided to get what may be the last mass market live-action Wonder Woman statue in a while.
The statue comes in the typical thin cardboard box with large plastic windows that DST uses for its PVC statues. The packaging allows you to see what you're getting, but these kinds of boxes are also easily damaged. The statue is held in place with plastic trays.
Well, this one is called the "Bracelets" statue, with the obvious reason being the light-burst effect on Wonder Woman's right forearm. I initially thought the design was supposed to be a bullet-deflecting effect, but now I think it's supposed to depict the energy that's emitted when Wonder Woman bangs her bracelets together. The face looks a tad too long, especially compared to the other two DST Gal Gadot statues.
The statue comes in one piece, no assembly required. The bottom of the base is hollow, and you can see where the pegs under her feet were inserted/glued into the base. Overall, the statue is a decent dynamic pose, with Wonder Woman's hair in mid-air as she's slightly crouching.
The statue on the left is the DST WW1984 statue. The overall body size slightly smaller than the "Bracelets" statue.
Oddly, the "sliding" statue (also from DST) has the largest body size even though the statue is shorter than the other two due to its pose.
Prices for many commodities are rising due to covid-related delays, depleting inventory, and general inflation. If you enjoy Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in the live-action movies, you'll probably like having this statue (as well as the other two) in your collection (just don't pay more than MSRP).
